Yes. codedawn is free and open-source under the MIT License, and it runs entirely in your browser with no network access at all. A strict Content-Security-Policy blocks every outbound request, so once the page has loaded it keeps working with no connection.

No. codedawn does not call any AI and does not generate code on the fly. It deterministically SELECTS and presents one lesson from a fixed, hand-authored corpus whose code snippets were all verified by hand. There is no model, no API, and no live generation.

How is today's lesson chosen?

The lesson is chosen by a deterministic, date-seeded pseudo-random pick: your device's calendar date seeds a small hash that maps to one lesson in the corpus. Everyone sees the same lesson on the same calendar day, and it changes at local midnight — so at 5am it is genuinely today's lesson.
