No MSP, no mandi data, no advice — every number is your own.
How the calculation works
Total cost per acre = seed + fertiliser + labour + diesel + rent + other.
Then cost per quintal = total cost ÷ yield. Your break-even
price is that same figure — the price you must beat. If you enter a sale
price, cropmath also shows profit per acre, margin per quintal, break-even
yield, and return on cost = profit ÷ money spent.
Worked example (illustrative — made-up numbers)
Costs of ₹2,200 + ₹4,800 + ₹6,500 + ₹3,000 + ₹8,000 + ₹1,500 =
₹26,000 per acre, with an expected yield of 20 quintals,
gives a cost per quintal and break-even price of ₹1,300.00. At a
sale price you expect of ₹2,000, that is a margin of
₹700 per quintal and a return on cost of 53.85%.
These are made-up figures to show the method, not a typical yield or price.
Local units, and what cropmath will never do
acre and hectare are built in; add your own bigha, ground or kanal and set its size in acres yourself — cropmath never hardcodes a local unit. It carries no market prices, no benchmark yields, and no agronomy: it is arithmetic on the numbers you enter, kept private on your own machine.
