The arhtiya's day-book

Every lot,
split & settled.

A farmer's lot sells, commission and the mandi fee come off, the farmer gets paid, the buyer still owes on credit. MandiBook does that arithmetic for every lot and hands you the day's patti — tallied, not scribbled.

01 · The problem

You run the mandi.
The parchis run you.

A busy mandi day is dozens of lots, split three ways — farmer, agent, mandi — and half your buyers on credit. Your whole system is a paper bahi-khata, a pile of kacchi parchis, and your head — and by evening the tally never quite closes.

The same split, forty times a day

Weight into gross, commission off, mandi fee off, net to the farmer — simple arithmetic, but repeated on every lot until a slip costs you real money.

The bahi-khata is one spill from gone

Farmer dues and buyer credit live in a ledger only you can read. Carrying a buyer's balance across three mandi days is a note in the margin — until it isn't.

Who still owes whom?

You owe farmers their net; buyers owe you on the goods. Both move every day. Knowing your true position at any moment means flipping through weeks of parchis.

The patti won't tally at night

End of day you add up gross, commission earned and dues by hand. One transposed figure and you're re-checking the whole sheet under a tube-light.

02 · The insight

A mandi lot is the most mechanical money there is — weight times rate, minus two fixed cuts — yet it's still split by hand, lot after lot, on a paper parchi.

MandiBook's whole job is to take that one deterministic sum and run it as a cycle — book the lot, split it three ways, settle both sides — so the farmer's net, your commission and the buyer's outstanding are exact before the parchi is even torn.

03 · How it works

Book a lot once. The split and the patti follow.

  1. 1

    Record the lot

Pick the farmer, the buyer, the crop, the weight in kg and the rate per quintal. MandiBook computes the gross the moment you type — no calculator.

  2. 2

    The split happens automatically

Your commission % and the mandi fee % come off the gross → the net payable to the farmer. Your earning on the lot is shown right there on the bill.

  3. 3

    Settle both sides

Pay the farmer against the net — part or full — and MandiBook tracks the running due. Record buyer collections against the gross and it carries the outstanding forward.

  4. 4

Read the patti, watch the dashboard

The day-sheet lists every lot with its totals; the dashboard rolls up commission earned today and this month, total farmer dues and total buyer outstanding.

04 · What's inside

The whole mandi day, in one book.

Lot entry with a live bill

Weight × rate → gross, commission and mandi fee off, net to the farmer — all computed as you type. Enter the lot, book it, done.

Three-way split, exact

Farmer, agent and mandi settled to the rupee on every lot. Your commission earning is never a guess or an evening's arithmetic.

Farmer dues board

A running balance per farmer — the net you owe, minus what you've paid. Part-payments welcome; the due always carries forward correctly.

Buyer outstanding board

Every buyer's open credit in one place. Record collections against the gross and MandiBook keeps the outstanding true across mandi days.

Daily patti, tallied

Pick a date; see every lot with gross, commission, fee and net, plus the day's totals at the foot. The bahi-khata sheet, computed for you.

Commission dashboard

Earned today and this month, total farmer dues, total buyer outstanding — your true position at a glance, the moment you open the book.

05 · The dashboard

Open it after the auction. See the whole day in ten seconds.

06 · Pricing

Simple subscription. However many lots you handle.

If MandiBook catches one mis-split or forgotten buyer credit a week that would otherwise have leaked, it's already paid for itself many times over — and you've bought back the nights you spend re-tallying the patti.

  • Unlimited farmers, buyers & lots
  • Auto commission + mandi-fee split on every lot
  • Farmer dues & buyer outstanding boards
  • Daily patti + commission dashboard

07 · Who it's for & questions

Built for the mandi arhtiya, not the corporate trading desk.

MandiBook is for the commission agent at an APMC mandi — the arhtiya (aadhatiya) dealing in grain, paddy and mustard, handling a handful of buyer firms and many farmers. Big enough that the splits and the credit eat your evenings; small enough that mill-grade ERP is overkill. If you run it on a bahi-khata and parchis today, this is for you.

How is the commission and mandi fee worked out on a lot?

You enter the weight in kilograms and the rate per quintal, and MandiBook computes the gross (weight ÷ 100 × rate). Your commission percentage and the mandi fee percentage come off the gross, and what's left is the net payable to the farmer. You see all four figures — gross, commission, fee, net — the instant you enter the lot.

My buyers pay on credit over several days. Does that work?

Yes. Record each collection from a buyer against their lots and MandiBook carries the running outstanding forward. The buyers board always shows exactly who still owes you and how much, so credit never gets lost between mandi days.

Can I pay a farmer part now and the rest later?

Yes. Pay any amount against a farmer's net and MandiBook tracks the remaining due. Each payout is recorded against the lot, so the farmers board shows the running dues you still owe across every farmer.

What is the daily patti?

Pick a date and the patti lists every lot booked that day — farmer, buyer, crop, gross, commission, mandi fee and net — with the day's totals tallied at the foot. It's the same day-sheet you write by hand today, computed for you and ready to read.
